I'm Rachel Malli, the artist behind Rachel Malli Designs. I'm passionate about breathing new life into pre-loved pieces and creating unique, sustainable art for your wardrobe and home.

What started as a maternity leave project – upcycling trainers for my little one – has blossomed into a business where creativity meets conscious consumption. I specialise in hand-painted designs on second-hand trainers, offering commission pieces for both adults and children. But my artistic touch doesn't stop there! I also transform clothes and homeware with vibrant, one-of-a-kind designs.

I believe in the power of sustainable fashion. By giving pre-loved items a fresh, artistic makeover, I’m helping reduce waste and promoting a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Each piece I create is a testament to that commitment.

About my creative practice

As a multi-disciplinary artist and designer (BA), I'm fascinated by the power of colour, form, and shape to communicate beyond representation. My work is an exploration of abstract realms, aiming to evoke emotion and inspire introspection through visual means. I'm driven by experimentation with materiality and process, creating art that is intellectually stimulating and aesthetically compelling, inviting viewers to connect with the work on a personal level.
