This series of work is a visual exploration of music's healing power in the face of profound loss. In the wake of pregnancy loss, I turned to music as a balm for my mental state. The spray paint embodies cellular formation and the mysteries of the fetus developing within the womb. The dark swirls disrupt this imagery, representing the loss itself, but also the anxiety and emotion involved in loss. This also represents the dynamic energy that music has provided in my journey of healing.
